A last attempt of the US to hold on in the Middle East: a war with IRAN?

For the last ten days, successive events have shaken the already chaotic political life of the Middle East amid the increase of violent verbal attacks of high Saudi officials towards Iran, backed by an outspoken US president Trump.

The still mysterious resignation of Lebanon’s Prime Minister Saaduddine Hariri, is suggesting day after day, that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is letting down its “faithful Lebanese sunni supporters” for having failed in opposing Iran’s might in Lebanon: Hezbollah.

Worse, all Gulf countries, starting with Bahrein, followed by Saudi Arabia and lately by “wise” Kuweit, have asked their citizens to leave immediately Lebanon.

Meanwhile an unprecedented family crackdown is taking place within the Saudi Dynasty. This means that young Crown Prince Mohamad Ben Salman is preparing for a strong action during which he needs free hands. All his opponents, some of whom are most powerful Princes of the Kingdom, have been arrested.

Increasing pressure on the Yemeni war front, by accusing Iran of being behind the ballistic missile fired over his Capital city of Riyadh,

Increasing pressure on Lebanon, by going as far as accusing its government of having declared war against Saudi Arabia,

Increasing pressure on Iran by accusations stronger by the day, of destabilizing the Middle East and creating unrest all over, is certainly announcing some big action to take place by the axis USA-Israel-Saudi Arabia against the other axis that has undermined the US hegemony in the area: Russia-Iran.

My feeling is that there are 50/50 chances of a war somewhere in the region, that might not remain confined to the Middle East. Has the time come?

Coming days are crucial, may God preserve us!
